We learned that a good friend of ours, Chase Jarvis, is heading to Chile for a photo shoot. Being the architecture geeks that we are, the first thing that came to mind was the gorgeous architectural work of Mathias Klotz. Klotz was born in Santiago, Chile in 1965, received his architectural degree from the Catholic University of Chile and currently heads the Architecture School of Diego Portales University in Santiago. He also runs a successful architectural practice in Santiago. His work ranges from small weekend retreats to large university buildings – the entire body of work is eloquent, disciplined and modern. We could rave about his work for hours, but we’ll let the photographs speak for themselves. His books can be found here.
