It’s been a whirlwind start to 2016, and we’re just now able to take a moment to share some of the latest happenings in the BUILD world. For today’s post, we’ll take a spin through the latest updates to our website, including a couple additions to the team, along with some projects that are in varying states of design and permitting. Stay tuned for more posts on these projects throughout the year.
Queen Anne Residence
The newest residential project to come our way is perched on the north slope of Queen Anne. With simple geometry and a minimal palette, the design incorporates generous amounts of natural light and outdoor living.
One of the rarest creatures in the Seattle these days is the undeveloped site. And rarer still is the undeveloped site with views. Our project in Leschi, perched above Lake Washington, grabs views of the lake, the mountain, and the Eastside.
Our latest multi-family project to hit the boards is a 4-flat apartment building on Capitol Hill. The site is tidy and complex, with many forces defining the building footprint and mass. The program offers a combination of 2- and 1-bedroom units as well as multiple outdoor amenity areas for tenants.
We’ve now been experimenting with our Case Study Houses for over six years. To highlight these special projects, we decided to give them their own portfolio category on our website. CSH 2016 is our most current, and wrapping up framing this week.
With an expanding portfolio of work, and a recent office move, our team has grown a little bit this year. Meet our newest additions to Team BUILD: Cale Wilber and Jackie Eckert.
Cheers from Team BUILD
