The chalkboard is over the “washing station” in the kitchen and while there is a fair amount of chalk-dust it doesn’t get on the food. And fortunately it’s edible if it does – lol.

Do you guys ever wonder about using a chalkboard in the kitchen? All I can ever think about is how much chalk dust is floating down onto the countertops. Mmmm…delicious (am I being too practical?)

@Joshua – the hallway is 42″ wide and it doesn’t feel crowded with the books.

As I’ve come to expect, this post is another thoughtful, generous and clever offering. I’m going to reappropriate some of these ideas in our own home. I wish I could have you design and construct a newer home for us, but these ideas must suffice for now.
