Hollin Hills House

One of our favorite things about running a design blog is the discussion and dialogue that takes place around any given post. Among all the talk, we’ve been introduced to some champion peoples, individuals we just wouldn’t know otherwise. After our post on Mid-Century Modern Communities, Pamela and Erik gave us a shout-out because they own a home in the super cool Hollin Hills hood.
Combine a couple of MCM lovin homeowners with a very handsome house and the fact that Erik is an architectural photographer and what you get is a project that we’re dying to share with you. Enjoy

Great house, love that floating stair handrail and wish the building code would still allow such sculptural forms.

I like the photography. It’s obviously staged and structured but done so in a manner that looks lived in.

Anyone know what type of wood chairs are in the living room? They look Danish but I can’t identify them.

I believe that first photo is of a different house. The photos of the interiors all bear the hallmarks of a Charles Goodman-designed home (Goodman was the principal architect behind Hollin Hills). But the exterior shot that appears first is not a Goodman home. Also, the vegetation surrounding the house does not look like Hollin Hills at all. Those are Eucalyptus trees in the background – which don’t exist in that area.
