		<description>you can’t get triple-pane, low-e glazing to have such a minimal profile like that - and then you’d never hit the passivhaus standard!

that polycarb house looks pretty, er…. familiar. the house uses almost no insulation (just slab and windows) and a pretty low-tech (but materially intensive) dynamic insulation system.. it got VE’d a bit, the whole house was supposed to be polycarb, but this wasn’t necessary for the significant energy reductions the owner/architect were shooting for, and added cost. the gabled walls are rendered block. even with the VE, it looks pretty decent, especially amongst all the banal houses in the neighborhood.
